    Most Experienced Comic Artist(s)

I've been working on my comic for about ten years but I'm only just starting to do work in a semi-professional capacity, so probably not me ^^; However, I've self-published my comic online and in print, and I've been doing cons for about 5 years now.

How important is it to attend cons?

That's probably why I struggle a bit xD I haven't been able to attend many cons over the past couple of years due to finishing my research degree.

How important is it to attend cons?

Good point! That is something I'm guilty of (though not for three years) ;______; I do try and mix it up with related products though. Thought Bubble is really hard to get into, I do feel that they probably go for favourites or people they already know...

Araki's Manga in Theory and Practice

I'm looking to buy it myself as I've heard it's very, very good, and I adore Jojo's Bizarre Adventure so I trust what Araki says hahaha

Do you have any NEW YEARS comic goals?

Mine are: Practice the things I've been avoiding because they're hard, i.e. backgrounds/vehicles (!) Get at least one artbook out Get the print version of Chapter Two of 'Sacred?' sorted; re-colour the Prologue and Chapter One with flat greys so it's all consistent; get Chapter Three at least...

How important is it to attend cons?

The thing about cons, while they're great for networking, is that it's very hard to break even as an artist, especially if you have to pay for travel/accommodation. The con scene is also pretty stagnant at the moment, at least in the UK, as there are just too many events and punters are getting...

    Worst comic you've ever read?

Many western 'How to Draw Manga' books given to me as gifts suffered a similar fate.

    London recomendations

The Cartoon Museum!! I haven't managed to get there myself yet (always too busy doing other stuff in London) but it's a museum of comics, cartoons and sequential art. http://www.cartoonmuseum.org/ (Leicester isn't in London though lol. It's a couple hours away by car, probably about one hour on...

I've chucked mine on my online store but haven't had any bites yet. Maybe we should set up a print comic swap shop xD

How do I Sketch like a Pro?

There's a lot of free English-language cracks but you can support the official release here: https://www.systemax.jp/en/sai/ (The developer is apparently just one guy, and it's fairly inexpensive so do support it if you can.)

2000AD Sci-Fi Special - All women creators for the first time in 40 years.

Personally I see them as an opportunity to grab volumes I don't already have at a decent price. I don't have the space or money to get them all anyway :L They don't release the volumes by number (Slaine is number 36 in the series I think) - it's the oldest trick in the book to snag...

2000AD Sci-Fi Special - All women creators for the first time in 40 years.

@JamieMe The 2000AD Ultimate Collection TPB series is really, really good for grabbing the classic collected series cheap. Got Slaine: The Horned God for £1.99 in the first issue and The Ballad of Halo Jones for £6.99! The rest are £9.99. That's amazing for hardbacks. It's quite far along now...
